Quarterly Super CE Event
Coming all the way from Greenville, Maine, Joe Tomlinson is the opening act for our Super CE meeting. Joe will discuss the practical aspects of Building Sustainable Retirement Plans for our clients by incorporating various tools and strategies such as dynamic withdrawals, smoothing techniques, asset allocation glide paths, SPIAs, and reverse mortgages.
The headliner, Morningstar’s David Blanchett, presents No Portfolio is an Island. He presents a holistic approach to optimal portfolio allocation decisions by considering total wealth, liability risks, investor preferences, taxes and investment duration.
David’s second presentation, Reassessing Risk Assessment, builds upon what we learned in his first presentation. Risk capacity, time horizon, funded status and risk behavior are discussed to provide advisors with a framework to better determine a client’s appropriate level of portfolio risk.
