If you are ready to get your financial affairs in order, April is National Financial Literacy Month - a great time to begin.

Free to the public, our chapters' Public Awareness and Pro Bono Financial Planning events connect CFP(R) Professionals into our community.

Expect a series of workshops that help our attendees understand topics like how to manage a budget and create a spending plan, how to take control of your finances now in order to build a better future, how to manage your credit and debts and build a stronger credit score, how to pay for education and college, how to mitigate your largest risks. This list a sample of the types of financial topics you can learn about - when you register you can vote for the topic areas you most want to attend.

Expect access to solid, fact based information about how financial services are delivered and what you need to know as a wise consumer. Learn the top three questions to ask any potential financial advisor before you elect to work with them.

Want to meet with a Financial Planning Professional for a (free) 30 minute session - a chance to ask your specific questions? Just register in advance and watch for a confirmation email noting your reserved time slot. Then get to work thinking about where you most need some guidance - retirement planning - estate planning - taxes - insurance - paying for college - investments? Your CFP(R) professional has been tested and proven knowledgeable in a wide variety of critical financial subject areas.
